A standard by the help of which you can transfer the data up to 20 Gbps ( Gigabits per second ). USB port C works for this speed transfer with the help of USB type C cables.


You already know that the USB type C cables contain many pins. This means that it can carry many things in the same time. ( video signals, normal data  etc . )

Now multi lin support will also in it, that means you can work from existing USB type C as USB type C 3.0 , whose speed was 5 Gbps now increase up to the level of 10 Gbps. Along with the USB type C 3.1 , that becomes 20 Gbps from 10 Gbps after multilin.

If you have existing type C certified cable , by the help of this existing cable you can transfer the data upto 20Gbps,  but the new devices that will come in market , which support USB 3.2 that devices transfer the data upto 20 Gbps .
